BTA (1,2,3-Benzotriazole)

BTA is a yellow metal corrosion controller, available in needle or flake form. It can be incorporated into corrosion inhibitors formulations used in water treatment to prevent the corrosion of copper and copper alloys.It forms an effective combination with other additives such as HPMA sacle controller and other corrosion inhibitors.

Use: Used as anti-rust and anti-corrosion agent for metals as silver, copper, lead, cast iron, nickel, and zine, anti-fading agent for copper, silver, zinc ect., additives for coatings, oil products (e.g.oil for metal cutting), antiseptic and anticoagulant agent for synthetic detergents, plant growth regulator, antifreezers for automobile, antifoggant for photogra, stabilizer for polymers and organic intermediate. As a good UV-absorbent itself. It is used as stablizer for product susceptible to UV ray, e.g.to prevent fading of azo-dyes. It is also used in treating paper, textile, film, metal coins for anti-fading of color. Used with varlous anti scaling compounds, fungicides and algaecides, it has good anti-corrosion effect for cycling cooling water system
